Run matches from tee-off to final scores — states, scoring, and disputes.
Match States
Every match moves through three states. The current state determines what actions are available and what players can see.
ScheduledThe match is on the calendar but hasn't started. Players can see their opponent, tee time, and course. No scoring is available yet.In ProgressThe match is underway. Scores can be entered hole by hole from the match scorecard, and totals update as scores come in.FinalizedAll scores are locked. Points have been awarded to the standings. The match is read-only. Starting The Match
When it's game time, a manager opens the match and starts scoring. This moves the match from Scheduled to In Progress.
Players can follow along on the match page as scores are entered.
TipOpen the match page a few minutes before tee-off so the lineup and scorecard are ready.
Entering Scores
Step 1 — Open the match scorecard
Navigate to the match from the Schedule tab. The scorecard shows every player grouped by team.
Step 2 — Enter hole-by-hole scores
Tap each hole cell and enter the gross score. The system calculates net scores automatically based on handicap strokes and the course's stroke allocation.
Step 3 — Review the running total
As scores come in, the match card shows running hole results, team totals, and the current match status (who's winning and by how much).
Reviewing and Finalizing
Once all scores are entered, review the match summary. Check:
Step 1 — Verify all holes have scores
Missing scores are flagged. Every player must have a score for every hole before you can finalize.
Step 2 — Check the point totals
The system calculates points based on the league's scoring format. Make sure the results look right before locking them in.
Step 3 — Finalize the match
Hit "Finalize" to lock scores and award points to the standings. This moves the match to the Finalized state.
WarningFinalizing a match immediately updates the season standings. Double-check scores before confirming — you can un-finalize if needed, but it's better to get it right the first time.
How Points Are Awarded
Points per match depend on the season's points configuration (default 2/1/0):
WinThe winning team gets the full win points (default: 2).TieBoth teams split the tie points (default: 1 each).LossThe losing team gets the loss points (default: 0). These values are configurable per season in Settings. Some leagues use 3/1/0 or custom schemes to reward wins more aggressively.
Handling Disputes
Score Corrections
If a score was entered incorrectly, un-finalize the match, correct the score, and re-finalize. The standings update automatically.
Player Disputes
Players can submit anonymous complaints through the Complaint channel (visible to managers only). Managers review complaints and make final rulings. The manager's decision is final — update scores or standings as needed.
